In February, 2009, JavaBlackBelt conduction a survey of its membership on Java skills management and feedback on the JavaBlackBelt service. Over 450 verified respondents completed the entire survey.
The top findings from the Java developers:

Three out of four said Java skills assessment is important to project success, citing top benefits of higher productivity and targeted training.
Their productivity would increase by 25% if management committed to skills management.
The JavaBlackBelt service received a 90% satisfaction rating.
Nearly 2 of out of 3 identified JavaBlackBelt as their best tool for skills assessment and agreed that it offers the most comprehensive, up-to-date questions
on skills assessment.
